Very friendly staff especially in the bar and restaurant. Very helpful as we had elderly parents with us with mobility issues. Room was clean and tidy the bathroom was clean but a little tired. Amazing location very central. We had dinner on two evening and breakfast two morning all freshly prepared and couldn't fault the choice. Only negative was the carpark as you were unable to book a space and was very tight.

Really helpful and friendly receptionists. Comfortable lounge/bar area. Easy parking, although the hotel car park was very cramped to turn and get out when we couldn't find a space. Luckily the public car park under the hotel was almost as convenient and no more expensive. Excellent location for central Chester.

The location was perfect for visiting Chester & for our onward journey to Snowdonia. We arrived a couple of hours early and our room was ready which was a real bonus. The reception ladies were excellent & gave us loads of info on visiting Chester. Our room was very spacious & clean & quiet although our bed wasn’t made up on our second night & we had to ask for extra tea, coffee & milk. Great to have a mini fridge & free water. Would have preferred to have just a shower & not have to clamber into the bath but this seems to be still be the case in most hotels. Lovely towels & shower products though. Air conditioning was really effective. Huge television too.

The staff are excellent, so welcoming and friendly. Went above and beyond. They are a total credit to the hotel and made our experience 5 star. Well done, and thank you to each and every one of them, the reception, breakfast, bar, breakfast, and evening meal staff and spa, you made my friends 50th birthday perfect, and we never told them once why we were there x The food was amazing, with great value and really fresh... We met the chef Jamie when he came out later. What a lovely guy. Sorry I didn't get any other names, but I couldn't pinpoint any others out as all amazing. The spa facilities were quiet, so very relaxing. The rooms were lovely, clean and quite large, with everything we needed.

Very unappealing view of the property before entering! However, this all changed when we went inside. Attractive decor. Reception staff were exceptional. Very helpful, friendly, informative, knowledgeable and professional. Room was a good size and very clean and comfortable. Bathroom very clean with all expected amenities. Breakfast was exceptionally good with a large choice, some that were new to me. The availability of freshly cooked items such as eggs Benedict was very welcome. All stall here were also extremely helpful and friendly. It was only a very short walk to the centre of Chester. We will definitely be staying again!

The location of this hotel is perfect for my daughter and I to go to the theatre, gigs and shopping. The staff are so welcoming and polite and it is definitely great value for money . The rooms are spacious, well equipped with tea and coffee and the beds are so comfortable. We will be booking again and would recommend to friends and family

Hotel was lovely, staff were friendly and polite. We visited the bar and ate food too which was lovely. Breakfast was spot on too. The view of the race course from the bathroom was lovely. Appreciated the welcome chocolates and card in our room on arrival for our Wedding Anniversary. We also visited the spa and each had a full body massage. Ruth and Hannah were fab!
